Chainalytics, a global leader in supply chain consulting, analytics and market intelligence today announced that Erik Diks will join the firm as managing director of Europe. In his new role, Diks will lead the company’s European team, with existing offices in Helsinki and Milan, and will launch the firm’s new Dutch office.

Diks joins Chainalytics from his most recent role as managing director with the supply chain team of PwC The Netherlands, where he was responsible for a team of supply chain management professionals delivering strategic services for multinationals across Europe and the globe. “My passion is developing teams of supply chain management professionals who create value for customers by applying their knowledge and consulting skills,” Diks explained. “This is a core part of Chainalytics mission, which it embraces and practices daily around the globe. I am excited about this opportunity to join some of the smartest people in the supply chain business,” he added. Diks’ supply chain consulting experience includes roles at Deloitte, which he left to join Belgian consulting firm S&V Management Consultants, where he grew the firm’s Dutch practice leading up to their subsequent acquisition by PwC. All told, Diks brings over 15 years of broad supply chain strategy, supply chain network design, sales and operations planning (S&OP), demand and supply planning, and product and customer portfolio optimization experience to his new role at Chainalytics. He maintains a high-profile academic and industry presence, with articles and posts in publications including International Journal of Production Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, and Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences. He also co-authored a 2013 global study with MIT on supply chain risk management and has authored multiple supply chain management books. Diks earned his doctoral and master’s degrees from the Eindhoven University of Technology and holds certification in areas including Six Sigma Black Belt and SCOR methodology.
